The Edible Woman

The Edible Woman

A television adaptation of the groundbreaking first novel by world renowned Canadian writer, Margaret Atwood. Set across present-day London and 1960s Toronto, the Edible Woman is a psychological drama following the journey of two women to find themselves: a journey that uncovers fiercely guarded family secrets and ultimately leads them to each other.

A Canada/ Ireland limited series co-production with Shinawil.

Witty, subversive, hilarious, The Edible Woman is dazzling and utterly original. It is Margaret Atwood’s brilliant first novel, and the book that introduced her as a consummate observer of the ironies and absurdities of modern life.

Atwood has the magic of turning the particular and the parochial into the universal."
